What is a B Corp?
In the past 20 years, there has been an evolution from the idea of ‘good products’ to the concept of ‘good companies’.
Certified B Corporations are businesses that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose.
And how do you become one?
Certified B Corporations must achieve a minimum verified score on the B Impact Assessment – a rigorous assessment of a company’s impact on its workers, customers, community, and environment.
They also make their B Impact Report transparent on bcorporation.net
Finally, they need to amend their legal governing documents (articles of association) to require their board of directors to balance profit and purpose.

Innovation
Innovation brings excitement to the wine category and stimulate growth.
Innovation can help us to engage with younger adult consumers, increase relevancy and to drive category value for a sustainable business. Concha y Toro is constantly working both in our origin countries and on the ground in Europe on the innovation model to re-invigorate growth.
Centre for Research
and Innovation
Concha y Toro has led the way in Chile for over a decade thanks to the founding of the Centre for Research and Innovation near Talca in Chile. This pioneering initiative conducts applied research and develops new technologies in the areas of viticulture and oenology, providing knowledge and new developments that allow us to face future challenges in this sector.
The CRI is also at the service of the Chilean wine business in general, to help with pioneering projects in the vineyard and in the winery.
A large part of the Centre’s work focuses on climate change, how to mitigate its effects and produce grapevines and work with soils which require less mechanical intervention and water supply.
